SQLMatcher Professional (2.3)

Main Form

This screenshot demonstrates how SQLMatcher can be used to compare two DDL scripts generated by SQL Enterprise Manager. This image also shows how statuses are rolled up to the higher level nodes (i.e. the FULL SCRIPT node shows a red "not equal" icon because the STORED PROCS, FUNCTIONS, and TABLES nodes are also "not equal").
This screenshot shows how the user can drill down into the lower level nodes to get more detail about which items are different. In this case we drill down into the individual stored procedures below the TABLES collection node and then further into the fields that are defined in the table itself.

SQLMatcher Professional (2.1.4)

In this case we drill down into the individual stored procedures below the STORED PROCS collection node and then further into the parameters that are passed into the stored procedure itself.

Integrated Text Comparison

This screenshot shows what the integrated side-by-side text comparison looks like. It demonstrates how differences are shown (as red lines), and how SQLMatcher differentiates between lines that are only found in the source file (blue lines) vs lines that are only found in the target file (green lines). When SQLMatcher identifies lines that have been moved they will be coloured yellow.

XSL-based Reporting Engine

The reporting engine can be customized by providing your own XSL "templates" to transform the report data. There are a few default templates that are provided and the file layout is fully documented in the help pages.

Miscellaneous

All forms in SQLMatcher allow the user to submit feedback. The yellow smiley in the bottom left hand corner of each form can be used to do this. This screenshot shows the dialog that pops up when the user clicks the feedback button. SQLMatcher also includes contextual information in the feedback based on the current form selected so that the user doesn't have to type that much when providing feedback.
